More and more businesses today are turning
to corporate video production in order to promote their goods and
services. We are living in the digital age, and people no longer want to read
about products and services from a catalogue. They simply want to go online and
learn about it, not just read about it. In fact, only in the last week or two,
in reports of the downturn in the High Street, one of the shops closing most
often was the bookshop.
Let’s face it, why read about something if
you can see it in action on a video? Suppose I want to buy a strimmer. Sure, I
can read an ad in a newspaper and see a photo of it, I can send away for a
catalogue, or I can click on a website and see the strimmer in action. I can
see how well it cuts away long grass. I can see how it can get into a small
area behind a tree or whatever.
The demonstrator can show me how easy it is
to clean using a strimmer or change a part if needed. I can watch it all with
my own eyes, and you certainly can’t get all that from a catalogue.
