Slamm – The Complete Video Production Company

At Slamm Productions we can produce any type of video for your business or other organisation that you need. There are no limits: if you need it filmed, we can film it. Well, that’s not quite true: if you want something filmed on another planet, we don’t do that. However, if you want something filmed in another country, we will do that. We will film wherever you want us to film and whatever you want us to film. And, yes, that includes aerial video as well.

In fact, aerial video is one of our specialties. Up until quite recently, the only way to film an aerial video was to hire a small plane or a helicopter. With a helicopter, you could easily be looking at close to £2,000 an hour – just for the helicopter. There is no doubt that aerial video can be stunning and make a wonderful addition to advertising, but at those sorts of rates, only the bigger companies could afford to do that.

Today, however, we have brought aerial video production within the reach of everyone, because we use our own drones. We have a qualified drone pilot who is fully insured and is licenced to fly by the CAA, and most importantly knows how to get the right shots. We also know how to check an area for suitability and can often gain permission to fly in restricted areas. We often add aerial video to ground based video which gives a big budget feel to your production.

In the 21st Century, It’s All About Video

We are now firmly in the 21st century – heck, we are already one fifth of the way through it – and one thing which has become patently obvious is that today it is all about video. People would rather watch a video about something than read about it. Whether it is the news or anything else, people prefer to see video.

You have only to look at the success of YouTube to see that. The company was only formed les than 14 years ago, yet today has some 2 billion users worldwide, with 79% of internet users saying they have a YouTube account. Every single day, people watch one billion hours of video on YouTube.

What this all means, if you run a business, is that if you want to keep your name in front of your customers you are going to have to use video whether you like it or not.

So if you want to advertise, rather than producing a pdf or placing an ad in a newspaper, you need the services of a video production company to make your videos for you. The are a lot of things that a video production services company can do for you, such as aerial videos which are certain to catch the interest of the viewer, 360 panoramic videos, product videos, animated videos (becoming very popular), and so on.

You can also use videos within your business or other organisation to deal with many things, such as internal communications within a company with widespread offices when you want to get an important message to staff, for example.

Making Aerial Videos The 21st Century Way

There is no doubt that aerial videos attract a viewer’s attention. This is probably because we don’t see things from this point of view very often unless someone is a frequent flyer, and even then a lot of the time may be spent above the clouds.

So aerial video production is a great way to go when you are producing advertising videos and you want to hold the audience’s attention. There is also a spin-off here, and that is the implication that the advertiser must be an important company, because making an aerial video requires the use of a small plane or helicopter, and hiring one of those is expensive, to say the least. It most certainly is.

There Are Many Ways You Can Use Internal Communication Videos

When you run a company that has a lot of branches, perhaps in far-flung outposts overseas as well as all over the UK, the use of internal communication videos can help to make a lot of difference to your productivity and thus to your bottom line. If you are the CEO, marketing director, production director, financial director, and so on, you need to be able to get your messages across to staff who work far from head office.

Certainly, you may be able to visit your factory in Hong Kong, but you can’t really do that at the drop of a hat or even every other week. You may want to instruct employees to take a certain action – or perhaps not take a certain action – and of course, you can send them an email. However, it is not the same thing as being there in person, and with internal videos, you can near enough do that. Slamm Productions can produce a video of you explaining what it is that you want your employees to do and you can then load it on to your website or on to YouTube so that your staff can see you and listen to you.

There are lots of other ways that you can use internal communications videos. For example, you may just have bought a new factory in Australia and you would like to be able to show all your staff, wherever they are, around the factory. Using a video, you can give a guided tour with yourself as a voice-over, or we can provide a voice-over actor for you. And yes, if you want us to fly to Australia to produce the video, we will happily undertake that.

Video Is the Future

The future is in video, there is no doubt about that. Just look at the vast reach of YouTube and that tells you everything you need to know. The statistics are staggering: the platform has 1.9 billion viewers worldwide. In fact, only Facebook has more users. YouTube was created in 2005 and is now owned by Google which paid $1.65 billion for it only the very next year.

Every day, people watch a total of one billion hours of video a day on YouTube. It is a very powerful marketing media, with 90% of people saying that they have discovered new brands or products on YouTube, which is why more and more businesses are looking to increase their reach with YouTube videos.

Of course, if you want your business to gain more interest by using video, you will need a video production company to produce a video for you. It is no good trying to produce a video yourself: you need a specialist company if you want to promote your brand properly.

You Can See Things With Aerial Videos That You Couldn’t Otherwise

Aerial videos are impressive. There is no doubt about that. You can see things from a totally different perspective, and you may be able to see things that you wouldn’t normally be able to see at all. For instance, there may be a building where the public is not allowed entry, but the owners might be prepared to grant permission to fly over the area to see the layout of the internal hidden garden or whatever it happens to be.

Aerial videos

Of course, until recently the biggest problem with aerial videos was the expense. You had to hire a helicopter or a small plane. However, now we have drones which are light, fast, and can hover, taking videos of almost anything anywhere. The latest UAV’s are very stable even when the wind is blowing: in fact you might think that the camera was in a fixed position. They can fly fast, if required, and track moving vehicles or people.

There are different types of drone, too. For instance, you can get a small drone that can be flown indoors, and others that are larger and can fly for longer periods.

Of course, you need to have a pilot who is capable of flying the drone so that it gets the shots that you want. The pilot also has to be fully insured and have passed an exam to enable him or her to receive CAA permission to fly, as it is illegal to fly a drone for reward for aerial video production otherwise.

In The Digital Age, You Need Corporate Video Production

More and more businesses today are turning to corporate video production in order to promote their goods and services. We are living in the digital age, and people no longer want to read about products and services from a catalogue. They simply want to go online and learn about it, not just read about it. In fact, only in the last week or two, in reports of the downturn in the High Street, one of the shops closing most often was the bookshop.

Let’s face it, why read about something if you can see it in action on a video? Suppose I want to buy a strimmer. Sure, I can read an ad in a newspaper and see a photo of it, I can send away for a catalogue, or I can click on a website and see the strimmer in action. I can see how well it cuts away long grass. I can see how it can get into a small area behind a tree or whatever.

The demonstrator can show me how easy it is to clean using a strimmer or change a part if needed. I can watch it all with my own eyes, and you certainly can’t get all that from a catalogue.
